Christina is home (well, back at college that is) from a great week in Reno where she participated in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. (She is in Region 7 which includes Alaska, Northern California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Northern Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.)
We were so excited for her -- She made her way to finalist for the prestigious Irene Ryan Award. Although she didn't win the whole shootin' match, what an accomplishment and honor to get that far (one of 16 chosen out of 230)!
Yep, we're proud!

That's FANTASTIC! (but I'm not entirely surprised---Christina's got talent from head to toe)
Yep ... I'm not surprised either .. Say more about the Irene Ryan award?
okay ... never mind, I just googled and read about it. Still don't know what happens after she is chosen as finalist ... did she end up getting a scholarship?
If she had been the winner at Region 7 she would have received a scholarship and gone on to Washington D.C. (national level).
Considering the level of competition in the multi-state area, getting chosen as one of the finalists is a super accomplishment. She did get a certificate which will go next to her Presidential Award! :)
That is very impressive.
Very impressive indeed! Christina is so talented!
I get this image of Chris coming home with the award and throwing it into a big guest room and saying something like "well I guess I'll throw it with the rest of them!"
wow! kudos!

I'm not surprised either. Can't wait till I see her at the Oscars.
