views from the (bike) road

Last night Hubby and I watched a Netflix rental -- Children of Men. The film's runtime is 109 minutes. About an hour into the film, I asked Hubby if 4 hours had gone by. Yeah, it wasn't my favorite movie.

This morning I decided to ride my bike to the post office to return the movie. Along the way I spotted this crane. (Or is it a heron? I'm not quite sure of the difference.)

I also pedaled by the llamas. This one was a particularly good sport about posing for me:

It was a beautiful fall day today -- sunny with blue skies and a pleasant temperature. Do I have to go to work tomorrow???

What a great bike ride. Hope "work" is just as inspiring and full of surprises.

I wanted to see that movie after reading a review of it in Christian Century....but I think it always seemed too dark and I am in a place where I need light...

Thanks for the "Children of Men" heads up. I've been considering renting it but haven't. Won't now.

And that llama is giving you such a nice smile! I loves that I does.

the llama is hilarious! looks like a she... who would put on fake eyelashes, glittered ones at that given the chance, and who in her free time loves to do karoake with her girlfriends... hee hee

PS - it is a heron. blue heron i believe. named dudley. his wife is a librarian contemplating a fling with mr.owl in the resource section... uh oh!
