WooHoo! We went to the Winlock Egg Day Festival today! Winlock is a small town about 25 miles north of here, and they have this event every summer. I've been meaning to go for the past 20-some years, and we finally made it! (Obviously it wasn't the very highest priority in my life or we would have been there sooner...)
Anyway, the weather was beautiful, and we had fun watching the parade, shopping, eating, and posing with chickens.
This was the view on the way home:

What a hoot! I see all these places you end up at and think about the Movie "Michael" (with John Travolta?) and the memorable "road trip" they made in the station wagon!!! How do you find such incredible things?
Rodger, I love that movie!! I have a real soft spot for small towns (having grown up in one), and they tend to have the kooky stuff. :)
That last view is a stunner for sure!
You guys go to the best places!
Dare I say it???? EGGcellent!
Sounds like a fun day and a great view!!!
How funny! AND how beautiful!
cute pictures :)
you all could come to Edmonds for their small town 4th of July parade .. it's right up your alley ... and you could definitely close the post with a scenic shot ... of the Olympics, Cascades and/or Puget Sound -:)
Egg Day! I want to go!
As silly as this sounds, I envy you the pose with rooster photo!
