I was looking through
USA Today after dinner (I know, it's a fluffy newspaper, but I like it), and ran across this quote:
"The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit." --Nelson Henderson
I must confess I don't know who Nelson Henderson is, but I like his statement. It's a good one to ponder. While I know I've done some planting of trees (both literally and figuratively), I'm sure I could do more...

The quote is interesting, but I like the picture more. :)
Gorgeous artwork and the quote also. I somehow think the quote is one that works slowly under the skin.
"ps"....I agree with you on that.
Agreed!
Beautiful quote and beautiful artwork!
cool art work! trees... great aren't they? happy planting...
I like the quote and I like the picture. Who is this fellow?
I like both the quote and the art, and I've never heard of him either.
I love trees, and we have planted six trees on this property, which we have owned two different times. The picture is wonderful! (and the quote is nice, too) Thanks.
thinking more about it, the quote challenges me to have a vision that is bigger than myself.
