Hmmmm...don't know about molasses......but I might belly up to the bar if Mrs. Field's chocolate chip cookies are on the plate. (for oh, so MANY reasons, I should NOT be in this contest)

ah, but think of the glory if you win!

or reese's chip cookies (see recipe way back in May) or homemade ginger snaps my mother-in-law made. Baking is her specialty.

Yummy--cookies! I baked blonde brownies, a recipe from my childhood Betty Crocker cookbook for kids, for my 22 year old son, BJ, coming home this past weekend. The kids all loved those when they were young. However, since then Ben has decided he likes sandwiches better than sweets. Knowing this, I baked them "for him," but my husband and I ate them all up! Good thing I baked half a recipe to start with.

Jan, I have a "Betty Crocker's New Boys and Girls Cook Book" from my childhood too! (copyright 1965!) It's my favorite cook book of all time, which tells you how skilled I am in the kitchen.

Barbara, I bet it's the same cookbook!

hey I have the boys and girls cookbook from 65 too! My aunt gave it to me (she worked at General Mills). She says she is responsible for the Cooky book being spelled with a y.

Oh my gosh, how cool is that?!?!

I made the open face sandwiches from that cook book for my brother.

Are those the delightful "Silhouette Sandwiches" using "cooky cutter cut-outs"? (I'm feeling a "Boys and Girls" blog post coming on!)
