requiem for licorice

It has been a week since I last saw Licorice. If he could have, he would have been home by now. He must have gotten into a scrape he just couldn't get out of. I love(d) that little kitty -- he is(was) so cute and mellow. Anyway, I made a video -- and I sincerely hope Licorice makes a fool out of me by miraculously showing up after I broadcast it on my blog.

(Hmm... it's more blurry and choppy than what I'd like.)

thanks for the comment my way. i'm so sorry you've lost your licorice. blessings and comfort to you. i just read through, skimmed anyhow, most of the posts on the page at the moment and i like what i see. i'm adding you to my feeds, so i'll be back. btw, intrigued by your tag line identification as a "post-Presbyterian"- is their an archived post that would explain this to me?

I'm so sorry. Years ago my hubby buried what he thought was his beloved cat, only to find, a few days later, "Ernie" sitting on the front steps waiting to come in. Miracles do happen.
And yes, the video made me cry. I'll miss Licorice, too.

As you remember, when Christopher ws gone for a week, I cried and did the photo album thing only to have him sitting there in his spot waiting for me as we drove in the drive that day. Praying Licorice surprises you the same way!

Ah, I sympathize. Cats do wander. I hope Licorice will return.

When I was about 11, we had a Siamese kitty named Sam. When Sam was just about a year old she disappeared for six weeks. We were sure she had met her death.

One night while watching TV in the den, I heard a scratching at the sliding glass door. When I pulled the curtain open, there was a very skinny, big eyed Sam, quietly mewing to get in.

Six weeks. We figured that she had somehow gotten into someones car and drove a distance away. And found her way back. It was a miracle.

Not to give you false hope, but, it could happen. I know how sad you're feeling. Prayers still going up.

awwww, I'll be praying for Licorice. I had a black kitten a few years ago that was also named Licorice (we spelled it Likkerish). He was a real sweetie.

On a hopeful note, we also had a cat return after being missing for over a week one time. She returned home and maybe your Licorice will do the same.

what a cute kitty! Hopefully he's just been playing detective in the neighborhood and he'll wander in... we hope. we hope. we hope.
